"The future is as bright as the promises of God," so said Adoniram Judson so many years ago. This is my hope for today and into our future--a future that often seems less than bright.

In the painting, it's as if the door to the future has been opened, and we are beaconed to come closer. We are being invited into its brightness. With eyes of wonder, this young One welcomes us into the light of a future made new in the promising life of God.

It seems to me that the Spirit of Life flows like a stream. Ever moving, changing, refreshing.

We are invited to move with this stream in all of our days. As I experience the the graceful movement of the Spirit, the pattern of Jesus emerges in the most surprising ways: connections between people who seem so different, moments of forgiveness, fresh starts after failures and on and on. . .

I hope this space will be a place to explore life in a refreshing way. So I've named it: ZaO.  "Zao" is an anicent greek verb that means, more or less: living, alive, lively, fresh, blessed.

I do believe that life-giving conversations are a source of strengh for our living. So here we go...
